Foreign Minister Dipu Moni leaves for New Delhi today (Monday) to discuss with her Indian counterpart SM Krishna all the bilateral issues between the two neighbouring countries, such as trade and investment, sharing waters of the common rivers, border and connectivity, reports UNB.
"We will discuss all issues …I hope discussion will be fruitful," she told reporters after Indian High Commissioner Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty called on her at the foreign ministry Sunday afternoon, on the eve of the foreign minister's Delhi trip.
The talks will be held tomorrow (Tuesday), the second in eight months since former foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee's meeting with Dipu Moni in Dhaka on February 9 this year.
In reply to a question Dipu Moni said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina might visit New Delhi in October-November, depending on her schedule and convenience of both the sides, when several agreements might be signed.
She told a correspondent that subject to the outcome of her discussions with her counterpart and other Indian ministers, agreements on the sharing of water, cooperation in railway sector and closing a wide trade imbalance might be inked during the Prime Minister's planned tour.
