Dire consequences if movement resisted: Khaleda
Sunday, 19 October 2014
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has warned the government of dire consequences if their ‘peaceful action programmes’ in the ongoing movement are obstructed. ‘Our movement is on and this will be intensified in the days to come. But the consequences won’t be good if our peaceful action programmes are obstructed by the ruling party cadres,’ Khaleda said on Saturday night while exchanging views with Upazila chairmen of 14 districts under Chittagong division who met her at her political office at Gulshan in Dhaka. Khaleda accused the government of trying to split political parties using intelligence agencies and asked it to stop such activities right away. ‘The agencies are being used to split parties. We want to tell them stop such acts. Oil your own machine. You won’t be spared in the future if you indulge in such activities. Mind it that the Awami League government is not the ultimate one. It must go,’ she said, according to a news agency.
