Direct air route between Dhaka, Hanoi proposed

Nguyen Van That, Ambassador of Socialist Republic of Vietnam called on Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Abul Kasem Khan at DCCI Monday.
During the meeting they discussed on bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Vietnam.
DCCI President said that Bangladesh and Vietnam have potential for expansion of present bilateral trade volume. He also called upon the businessmen of Vietnam to invest in Bangladesh. He proposed to start direct air route between Dhaka and Hanoi. He also expressed his desire to send DCCI delegation to Vietnam soon.
Mr. Nguyen Van That said that it was a pleasure to him to visit DCCI. He called upon the Bangladeshi businessmen to invest in the textile, leather goods, RMG sector of Vietnam. He also proposed for establishment of joint Chamber of Bangladesh and Vietnam. He assured of all support to DCCI in this regard.
Senior Vice President M. Shahjahan Khan, Directors M. A. Baten, M. Bashir Ullah Bhuiyan, Waqar Ahmad Choudhury, Nessar Maksud Khan, M. Anwarul Haque, K. G. Karim and M. S. Shekil Chowdhury were present during the meeting.
