Directives to keep Ramadan mkt under control

Thursday, 19 June 2014

The Ministry of Commerce on Thursday issued a set of directives for the traders, including the mandatory display of price list, and asked them to strictly follow those instructions to avoid trade license suspension. The instructions came well ahead of the holy month of Ramadan so that the consumers are not deprived of fair prices while buying essentials for the fasting month. The Commerce Ministry asked the traders to put the price list of essentials on display in a visible place, providing memo on transactions. The traders will have to follow the retail price of each commodity, according to a news agency.
