Disabled children to be given edn facilities: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said the government will take necessary steps to bring disabled students under the mainstream of education, reports BSS.
"Education of disabled children has been given importance to the national education policy", he said, while speaking at a seminar on 'Education and Rehabilitation of Disabled Children' at the auditorium of University of South Asia in the city Thursday.
Vice Chancellor of the university Prof MA Matin and Educationist MA Muhith, among others, addressed the seminar with President of Child Sight Foundation Professor AH Saidur Rahman in the chair.
Nahid said the desired development of the country would not be possible without involving the vast population in the development activities.
