Discharge duties as leaders, President urges Armoured Corps commanders

BOGRA, Nov 25 (UNB): President M Zillur Rahman has urged the commanders of the Armored Corps to perform their duties with skill and efficiency as leaders of the regiments.
"As commanders, you have hard task to conduct a regiment," he said while addressing the Fourth Reunion of National Standard Presentation (9th Bengal Lancer) and Annual Armored Corps Conference-2010 at Bogra Cantonment today (Thursday).
The President said that proper direction, immediate decision making capacity, skill and leadership of a commander could play important role in expanding activities and increasing skills of the armored force.
"It's my firm belief that you will always remain active in discharging your duties by showing efficiency of leadership, hard labour, perseverance and dutifulness."
He said the present government is working hard to build `digital Bangladesh' by 2021 and hoped that the use of the information technology (IT) would make the force more dynamic. "You've to prepare your subordinates in the same way with hard labour and training."
Mentioning that the present government is working to build a skilled, disciplined and strong army utilising the IT, the President said the government has taken measures to develop the army despite its limited resources.
Adviser to the Prime Minister Major General (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, Chiefs of the three services, local lawmaker, Area commanders of Bogra and Savar, Colonel Commandant of Armored Corps, GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command, Commandant of the Armored Corps Center School, and high civil and military officials were present at the function.
Earlier, the President addressed the Fourth Reunion of National Standard Presentation at the Bogra Cantonment where he described Bangladesh Army as the symbol of pride and a national asset.
