Discussion on 'prevention of corruption' in Jaypurhat

JAYPURHAT, Aug 19: A discussion on 'Social Awareness and Our Role to Prevent Corruption' was held at the Akkelpur Upazila auditorium in the district Monday.
Upazila corruption prevention committee organised the function that was followed by a rally.
Divisional officer responsible for Rajshahi Major Safiul Azam presided over the meeting.
He said, "We are committed to preventing corruption from our country."
He also said all government employees have to be corruption free.
Teachers of the society are respectable persons, they can try to prevent corruption and all types of people in the country have to be corruption-free, said Major Azam.
Also spoke in the meeting were local UNO Raza Md Abdul Hai, Akkelpur Municipality chairman Kamruzzaman Kamol, former headmaster of Akkelpur High School Korban Ali.
