Discussion on writings of Jafar Alam held

'Ghasful', a mass?media organisation, arranged a discussion on the completion of four decades of writings of Jafar Alam, a renowned translator, at the city's Central Public Library recently, said a press release.
Presided over by Poet Asad Chowdhury, the meeting was attended by Prof Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman as chief guest while Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed as the guest of honour.
The discussion was addressed, among others, by Prof Jobaida Gulshan Ara, deputy editor of Prothom Alo Anisul Haque, Prof Shafiul Alam, Dr Monirul Alam and proprietor of Adorn Publications Syed Zakir Hossain. The function was conducted by Ibtida Farhat Tropa, the release added.
