Dismal One-Day series of Tigers
Thursday, 28 August 2014
The Tigers could not avoid the inevitable whitewash in the three-match One-Day series in their West Indies tour. The team lacked confidence. We cannot blame the players as their performance during the last few months was anything but favourable for building confidence in the team.
Now the Tigers need to work hard for the upcoming two-Test match series so that they can produce some respectable result. At this point, the Tigers need to plan to play full five days so that they can play a long innings. Rash shots are the last thing which will be expected from the struggling batsmen.
The fielding of Bangladesh cricket team also needs to be improved so that they could give support to our bowlers who were up to the mark for first two One-Day matches. At present, the players need to forget the dismal result of the One-Day series and start afresh for the Test matches which will be altogether a new ball game.
I believe that the Tigers are much better a team than their recent performance is showing us and, I am sure, they will soon be able to come out from existing poor form. Best of luck for the rest of the West Indies tour!
