Distribution of BRUR admission test forms begins

RANGPUR, Sept 27 (BSS): The Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) has started distributing forms for admission test into first year honours classes for the second 2009-10 academic sessions from Sunday.
A total of 640 students would be admitted to departments of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Bangla, English, Economics, History, Management, Statistics, Geography and Environmental Science (GES), Accounting and Information System (AIS) and Marketing.
Of them 60, students would be admitted into each of the departments of Bangla, English, Economics, History, Mathematics, Statistics, AIS, Management and Marketing and 50 students each in the CSE and GES departments.
The admission seekers have been advised to collect admission forms by downloading the same from www.brur.ac.bd of 8.5x14 inches in size, fill-in the forms by own handwritings and attach two recently taken passport size colour photographs.
Later, the admission seekers would deposit the filled-in admission forms with necessary documents and Tk 300 in cash to the concerned departments and can collect admit cards with registration numbers and necessary prospectus for admission.
Admission forms can be collected from September 27 to October 18 and the filled-in admission forms can be submitted to the concerned departments in between 10am and 2 pm daily from October 1 to October 18 next except Fridays.
The one-hour long written admission tests under the faculties of Humanities and Social Science would begin from 10am to 11am, Science and engineering from 1 pm to 2 pm and Business Administration will be held from 4 pm to 5 pm on October 27 at different centres.
Results of the written admission tests would be published on November 6 and viva-voce of the successful candidates will begin from November 11 as per merit list serial numbers.
