Distributorship to replace DO by June: Faruk

The government is planning to introduce the much-talked about distributorship instead of the controversial delivery order (DO) by June in an effort to rein in prices of essentials in local market, Commerce Minister Lt Col (retd) Faruk Khan said. Bangladesh Supermarket Owners' Association (BSOA) and the daily Destiny jointly organised the discussion on 'Responsibilities and Rights of Consumers' on the occasion of upcoming Consumers Rights Day-2011 on March 15 in the city. - BSS
