Div I badminton begins tomorrow

The Fahami Group 1st Division Badminton League (men's and women's), organised by Bangladesh Badminton Federation, will be held on November 20-27 at the Paltan Wooden Floor Gymnasium in the city, reports UNB.
Chief Adviser's special assistant Dr M Tamim will inaugurate the eight-day meet as the chief guest.
Opening day matches are Surjotarun Club vs Gulshan SC, Ahaban Badminton Club vs Maha SC and Biman Bangladesh Airlines vs Tejkunipara KS.
A total of eight teams will take part on league basis mach, sponsored by Fahami Group.
The champion teams from men's and women's division will receive cash award of Tk 15,000 and Tk 10,000.
Sponsor Fahami group will finance the league budget of Tk 0.3 million (Tk 3.0 lakh).
Badminton Federation president Kamal Uddin Ahmed disclosed the details of the league at a press conference at National Sports Council (NSC) Wednesday afternoon.
