Dewan Mujibur Rahman joined Mercantile Bank Ltd (MBL) and took over the charge as its new managing director recently.
Prior to joining the MBL, DM Rahman was the MD of Karmasangsthan Bank.
He joined Janata Bank as the deputy managing director in 2003. In 2004, he joined Karmasangsthan Bank as its MD and served the bank until joining the MBL.
He did his MBA from the IBA at Dhaka University. He started his professional career as a banker by joining Agrani Bank in 1976 as a senior officer and served the bank for long 23 years.
In 1999, he joined BASIC Bank as general manager.
