DMP to ensure safety of empty homes during Eid vacation

Police will ensure safety of nearly one million houses that will remain unoccupied in Dhaka city during three or four days of Eid vacation. The residents of the houses have already gone to village homes to celebrate Holy Eid-ul-Fitr with their families. Business houses, financial institutions, shopping malls and markets will remain under surveillance, a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) release said. The steps are aimed at protecting the homes and establishments from thefts or burglaries, it added.
