DNCC guarantees timely completion of dev projects

Three ongoing development projects under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), including Amin Bazar landfill expansion and modernisation will be completed within stipulated time.
The other two projects are: construction of multi-storied residential building for DNCC cleaners and Kalyanpur Storm Water Pumping Station, DNCC Administrator Mahmudul Hasan said when he was visiting the sites of the projects on Saturday morning, according to a statement.
While inspecting the ongoing development projects, the DNCC administrator had looked into the progress of the works.
He instructed the project managers and the related officials to ensure the quality of the work.
Underscoring the need for coordination among all the concerned departments and organisations, he said maximum effort should be exerted to speed up the progress of the work.
The Kalyanpur Storm Water Pumping Station should be kept operational and modernised to deal with waterlogging, he added.
After inspecting the Amin Bazar Landfill, the DNCC Administrator said if the power generation from waste recycle project is implemented, it will be possible to generate 42.5 MW of electricity along with proper waste management.
DNCC Chief Executive Officer Mir Khairul Alam, Secretary Mohammed Masud Alam Siddique, Chief Engineer Brig Gen Md Moin Uddin, Chief Waste Management Officer Captain Mohammad Fida Hasan were among others who visited the projects' site.
