DNCC orders action to clear Ashkona waterlogging

The administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan has directed officials to take effective steps within one day to remove waterlogging on Ashkona Main Road, reports UNB.
He gave the instruction on Saturday after visiting the area near the Water Pump Government Primary School on Ashkona Main Road.
Member of Parliament for Dhaka 18 S M Jahangir Hossain was present during the visit.
Water has remained on several parts of Ashkona Main Road for a long time, causing serious trouble for local residents and pedestrians.
Following complaints from people in the area, the DNCC administrator inspected the road and asked for immediate action.
DNCC regional executive officer Md Khoybor Rahman said work to remove the water has already started using suction machines. He expressed the hope that the waterlogging would be cleared by Sunday.
