Doleshwar beat Kalabagan

Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club beat Kala -bagan Cricket Academy by 79 runs in the closing first phase match of the Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur Thursday, reports UNB.
With the day's feat, new sensation Prime Doleshwar SC finished top jointly in the first phase league with Gazi Tank Cricketers and Mohammedan SC securing 14 points each from 10 matches while Kalabagan Cricket Academy booked the last seat of the six-team super league with 11 points from 10 matches.
Earlier, Prime Bank CC also reached the super league securing 12 points.
Brothers Union also confirmed the super league berth collecting 11 points beating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club (10 pts) in the last league match.
But the losers, Sheikh Jamal DC lodged appeal with the league committee for full match points, alleging that Brothers Union fielded a suspended player, Suhrawardy Shuvo, in the match.
The League Committee is yet to take any decision in this regard.
Sent to bat first in the day's match, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club scored 252 runs for 9 in stipulated 50 overs.
Opener JJ Cobb smashed 83-ball 69 runs with 8 fours and a six while lower order batsman Shohag Gazi scored 49-ball 58 runs with seven fours and a six. Besides, Arman Hossian and Sabbir Rahaman scored 38 and 33 runs respectively.
Sharifullah grabbed three wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs, Zakaria Masud also captured three wickets giving away 48 runs in 10 overs while Hamilton Masakadza took two wickets for 27 runs.
In reply, Kalabagan Cricket Academy were dismissed for 173 runs in 46.1 overs.
Sahagir Hossian scored 34 runs off 54 balls with three fours and a six while Nuruzzaman made 30 off 51 balls with three fours.
Sabbir Rahaman claimed four wickets for 22 runs in 10 overs while Taijul Islam and Farhad Reza took three wickets each for 33 and 34 runs respectively.
