Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday asked the members of Jubo League (JL) not to get involved in any such activities that will bring ‘bad name’ for the organisation. ‘You’ve to look after one thing that no one should do any such activities that will bring bad name for Jubo League,’ she said while addressing a rally, organised by Awami Jubo League in observance of its 42nd founding anniversary, at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka. Sheikh Hasina said that the members of JL should always remain ready for supreme sacrifice as in the past for the welfare of the country and the nation. Talking about ‘conspiracy’ during the January 5 election, she said there were so many conspiracies to destroy the democracy of the country. About the international pressure on the government to stop the trial of the war criminals, the PM said that whenever the government started the trial of war criminals there were immense pressure on the government. The AL president alleged that the BNP chief in the name of saving the war criminals unleashed her terrorists to kill people and set fire to buses, trucks and CNG auto-rickshaws. ‘The BNP chief will have to answer for this one day,’ she said. Hasina said: ‘The BNP chief thought if she did such kind of anarchy in the country then the trial of the war criminals would be stopped. This trial is going on and will continue. Insha-Allah, the verdict of this trial will be executed in the soil of this land,’ she added, according to a news agency.
