Dos and don'ts of desk jobs
Tuesday, 30 October 2018
An increasing number of people spend eight hours and more hunched before their desks and personal computers in their offices.
Often desk jobs turn out to be more stressful and disease-inducible than other types of work. Professionals with such jobs can follow some rules in order to live healthy. These professionals should tackle one task at a time. Researchers have found that attempting to do several tasks simultaneously results in loss of time and productivity.
Meetings should be kept short. Their duration should not exceed 30 minutes.
Regular breaks can be taken. During this time, the professionals can get out of their chairs or cubicles and walk within the office premises for a few minutes. Sitting for long hours is very harmful for health. People who have desk jobs should also exercise regularly.
