DPDC, GP sign agreement on pre-paid meter vending

Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) on Sunday signed an agreement with mobile phone operator Grameenphone (GP) for vending its pre-paid meters, reports BSS.
Joint Secretary and Company Secretary of DPDC Jayanta Kumar Sikder and Head of Financial Services of GP Rasheda Sultana signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at DPDC conference room in Bidyut Bhaban, said a press release.
Power Division Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, Managing Director of DPDC Engineer Bikash Dewan and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of GP Mahmud Hossain were present at the signing ceremony.
This service will ensure smooth operations to customers maintaining 24/7 vending service from customers' electronic wallet.
In addition, selected GP retail outlets will serve as DPDC distribution points for providing vending solutions to the customers.
Grameenphone will ensure that customers are aware of service charges and GP POS/agent presence in different locations for smooth service delivery considering maximum customer convenience.
DPDC customers will be able to visit Grameenphone authorised agent points with pre-paid meter smart card and recharge their smart card.
