Thank you Mr. Shamsi for the excellent presentation. It is particularly noteworthy that Grameen Phone is reinvesting 80% of its income into new investment. The strategy for foreign investors should aim at creating the environment so that they don't take their profit out of the country; and why would they take their profit out of the country if there is enough investment opportunities? The lesson from Grameen Phone is that we need to create more investment opportunities in the country so that the investors should keep on reinvesting in the same country. This way they can create wealth/value for the company in the process but the activities and the income that is generated is ploughed back in the same economy. The objective of the government would be to create a conductive environment, and higher the reinvestment rate for companies the higher I would say is the success rate of the government policy.
