Dr Kashem Chy passes away

CHITTAGONG, Jan 17: Former Health Officer of Chittagong City Corporation Dr Mohammed Abul Kashem Chowdhury died at his city residence at Chandgaon in the city on Tuesday.
He died at 9.30 am at the residence, family sources said adding that he had been suffering from old age complications for a long time.
Dr Abul Kashem Chowdhury is the father of Masud Bakul, president of renowned debating organisation Drishti Chittagong and Dr Abu Sayeed Shimul, a writer and consultant of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Leaders of Dristi Chittagong and different socio-cultural organisations mourned the sad demise of the veteran physician.
