Dr Mazibur appointed BAEC chairman

Eminent nuclear scientist Dr. Md. Mazibur Rahman has been appointed as the chairman (current charge) of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), a BAEC press statement said, citing a government notification issued on Monday.
Prior to the appointment, he was serving as member (Biology) of BAEC. He has served as the National Liaison Officer (NLO) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Dr. Md. Mazibur Rahman obtained his PhD degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium in 2003 and completed his post-doctoral research as a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) at Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena, Germany in 2008.
More than 50 of his research papers have been published in different local and international journals so far.
On office work, he visited over 20 countries, including Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.
