Dr Shibtosh Roy\\\'s death anniv today

Today (July 2) is the 14th death anniversary of Dr Shibtosh Roy, a renowned arsenic specialist.
He died in a road accident on this day at Taraganj of Rangpur in 2001 at the age of 51, said a press release.
Dr Roy visited many villages of 460 thanas under all the 64 districts for providing treatment to arsenic patients.
Under a joint initiative of Dhaka Community Hospital, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia and University of Dhaka, he went to the North Bengal to identify the arsenic-affected patients in Dinajpur.
During his return from Dinajpur to Rangpur, the road accident took place near Taraganj.
