Dr Wazed Miah shifted to city's Square Hospital

Sheikh Hasina's husband and eminent nuclear scientist Dr Wazed Miah, undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, was shifted to the city's Square Hospital Thursday night. Dr Mirza Nazim Uddin of Square Hospital said a seven-member medical board was formed at 10am Friday. "His condition is normal and now he is fully conscious", the physician said. "No reparatory distress, no sign of congestive heart failure, he is hemodynamically stable and his chest is almost clear," said a press release of the hospital. Aged 65 years, Wazed has been suffering from heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure since long. — UNB
