Dr Wazed\\\'s death anniversary today

RANGPUR, May 8 (BSS): The 5th death anniversary of renowned nuclear scientist and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's husband Dr M A Wazed Miah (Sudha Miah) will be observed here in a befitting manner today (Friday).
Dr Wazed Smriti Sangshad (DWSS), district and city units of Awami League (AL), its Pirganj Upazila unit, other organisations and institutions will observe the death anniversary of the brilliant son of this soil through daylong programmes.
General Secretary of DWSS Saiful Islam Jahangir said his organisation finalised daylong programmes to observe the death anniversary of Dr Wazed in village Fatehpur and in the city.
The programmes include offering Fateha and placing of wreaths at the grave of Dr Wajed in his paternal village Fatehpur at 9am, milad mahfil at different mosques in Rangpur city after Juma prayers.
Besides, special prayers will be offered at different mosques, mandirs, churches and other places of worships seeking eternal peace for Dr Wazed and well-being of Sheikh Hasina, Sajib Wajed Joy, Sayma Wajed Putul and their other family members.
