Chief Adviser (CA) Dr Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to leave for Azerbaijan on November 10 to join the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP 29 in the country's capital, Baku.
A bilateral meeting likely to be held between Dr Yunus and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the conference, officials said.
Efforts are going on in this regard, but the schedule is not yet finalised, according to the officials.
The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will take place from November 11 to 22 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
At least 32,000 people will get together at the COP 29 to mainly discuss the thorny issues of climate finance.
The COP29 is seen as a pivotal opportunity to accelerate action to tackle the climate crisis.
With global temperatures hitting record highs, and extreme weather events affecting people around the globe, COP29 will bring together leaders from governments, businesses and civil societies to advance concrete solutions.
A key focus of COP29 will be on finance, as trillions of dollars are required for countries to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect lives and livelihoods from the worsening impacts of climate change, according to the United Nations.
Dr Yunus is expected to return home on November 14, an official of the CA's office told the FE.
