Draft scheme of Shinepukur's merger okayed

The 28th annual general meeting of the Shinepukur Holdings Limited was held in the city recently, says a press release.
The meeting was presided over by Managing Director of the company OK Chowdhury. The Company Secretary Md Asad Ullah attended.
Earlier, the shareholders and creditors of the company unanimously approved the draft scheme of amalgamation of Shinepukur Holdings Limited (Transferor Company) with Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited (Transferee Company) pursuant to Section 228 read with Section 229 of the Companies Act, 1994.
Listed in 1984 on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Shinepukur has a total of 25,200,000 shares in the stock market. On the other hand, Beximco was listed in 1989 on DSE and it has a total of 36,204,297 shares.
