Monday, 3 March 2014

JSD MP Moinuddin Khan Badal said that Bangladesh should take steps to draw the attention of the world community towards creating a safe-zone for protecting 1.5 million oppressed Rohingyas in Myanmar. He made the proposal in parliament while standing on a point of order Monday.
He also asked the government to pursue the international community to create a safe-zone for the Rohingyas in Arakan, and also to devise a proactive foreign policy so that they can live safely in their homeland. In this connection he mentioned the safe-zones of Gaza and Kosovo, according to a news agency.
He also said the Rohingya issue is not a taboo issue and it should be discussed properly.“Rohingyas entered into different places of Bangladesh, why doesn’t Bangladesh ask the world community for creating a safe zone for them?”
