The leaders of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) have said that proper and sincere steps have not yet been taken to materialise the dreams and desires of the martyrs of 1971 liberation war. Several millions people have been killed during Bangladesh’s independence struggles which culminated in liberation of the country from Pakistani occupation forces 43 years ago. But their drams are yet to be fulfilled, they said adding ‘Instead, Bangladesh is moving towards an opposite direction.’ The CPB leaders came up with the remarks at a programme in the city on the eve of the Victory Day, according to a news agency.
