Driver killed as 2 buses collide in Jessore

A bus driver was killed and two other people were injured when two buses collided at Singhajhuli Khan Bari at Chowgachha Upazila in Jessore district on Wednesday night. The dead is Tajibar Rahman Taju, 45, the driver of one of the buses and son of late Abdul Karim of Karigarpara village of the upazila. A bus from Jessore collided head-on with another bus coming from the opposite direction on the Jessore-Chowgachha Road at night, leaving Tajibar dead on the spot and two bus passengers injured. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. The injured were admitted to a local hospital, according to UNB.
