Drop excuses, participate in election, Shajahan tells BNP

LALMONIRHAT, Sept 22 (UNB): Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said on Saturday that the BNP should drop excuses to 'foil' the upcoming general election and participate in it.
He also said the polls will be held only with the parties which will participate in it.
Speaking to reporters after an advisory committee meeting of Burimari Land Port, he highlighted various aspects of modernising the land port, as well as constructing international standard bus and truck terminals in the near future.
Motahar Hossain, MP, president of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and Israfil Alam, MP, chairman of Burimari Land Port, spoke.
