Drug addict father kills son in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 1: A drug addict father killed his son at Nayapara village of Lohanipara union under Badarganj Upazila in Rangpur district Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Abu Raihan (22) of the village.
Police and family sources said Aminul (45), wanted some money from his garment worker son for buying drugs on Wednesday at about 8 pm. As Raihan refused to give him the money an altercation took place between them. At one stage Aminul hacked him with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.
