Drug addicts inhale toxic adhesive

RAJSHAHI, Dec 20: A toxic adhesive (gum or solution) used by shoe-makers and carpenters for fixing shoes, leather and wooden materials is being widely used as a drug by the addicts.
The addicts, failing to procure costly drugs like Phensidyl, heroin, pathedene or canabis, are being inclined to this easily available drug in various areas of the district.
The very adhesive, commonly known as Dandy by the drug addicts, is being used in the city areas as well as in rural areas alike.
Assistant Professor of Rajshahi Medical College Kausar Hossain said the inhaling of the solution (adhesive) is harmful for human body.
