'Drug dealer' dies in M'singh 'gunfight'

MYMENSINGH, May 13 (UNB): A suspected drug dealer was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Harua in Ishwarganj Upazila early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Hossain, 30, a resident of Khuliati village. Police said he was accused in four cases.
Shah Kamal Akand, officer-in-charge of police's Detective Branch, said that a joint team of DB and Ishwarganj police conducted a drive at around 12:45 am acting on a tip-off.
'Drug dealers' hurled brick chips and fired at the team as soon as it reached the spot, triggering a gunfight, he claimed.
After the skirmish, police found Mostafa at the spot with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
