Drug peddler gets 2 yrs RI

A mobile court of Habiganj Saturday convicted a peddler and sentenced him to two years RI for possessing phensidyl syrup.The convict was identified as Bashir Miah (30), of Sharifabad village in Sadar Upazila. Police said on information a joint team of Narcotics Control Department and district administration conducted a drive in the area and arrested him with 4 bottles of phensidyl. Later, the mobile court handed down the verdict. - UNB
