Drug peddler held in Manikganj

Detectives arrested an alleged drug peddler in possession of 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Kamta village in Saturia upazila of Manikganj district on early Tuesday. The arrestee was identified as Saiful Islam,30, son of late Aktaruzzaman of the village. Rabiul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Detective Branch (DB) of police said, tipped off a team of DB police conducted a raid on the house of Saiful in the area and arrested him at about 12:30 am. The law enforcers also recovered 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from his possession. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
