Drug peddler held with Phensidyl in Manikganj

Police arrested an alleged female drug peddler in possession of 86 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Muljan area on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Manikganj Sadar Upazila on Tuesday afternoon. The arrestee was identified as Hajera Begum, 45, a resident of Darshana in Chuadanga district. Police said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive on the highway and intercepted a bus of ‘NNB Pribahan’ at about 5:30pm. Later, police arrested Hajera from the bus. Police also searching his bag recovered 86 bottles of Phensidyl, according to UNB.
