'Drug peddler' hurt in Natore 'gunfight'

A suspected drug peddler was injured in a reported gunfight with Detective Branch (DB) police in Baraigram Upazila of Natore district on Tuesday, reports UNB.
MahbuburRahman, officer-in-charge of DB police, said police arrested Tuhin Bhuiyan from Gopalpur area along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets on Monday.
On Monday night, police along with Tuhin conducted a drive at Chandai College Para in the upazila to arrest his associates.
Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, Tuhin's associates opened fire on police, forcing them to fire back.
