Drug trader arrested

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged drug trader at Ramchandrapur in Satkhira town on Tuesday evening. The law-enforcers also recovered a large quantity of contraband items from him. The arrestee was identified as Angur Ali Sardar, son of Uzir Ali Sardar of Uttar Chapra of Ashasuni upazila. Being tipped off, a team of Detective Branch of police led by Sub-inspector (SI) Hannan conducted a drive and arrested Angur Ali. Following his confessional statement, the detectives also recovered a huge quantity of Indian drugs, including 300 bottles of Phensidyl syrup, kept in a pickup van at Ramchandrapur, in the evening. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
