DSE CEO resigns

AFM Shariful Islam Wednesday resigned as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on his personal ground, a DSE source confirmed.
Shariful Islam joined the DSE as CEO for one-year contract on March 1 last.
The three-month notice period of the resignation letter will expire September 30 as per service rule.
Islam, before joining the country's prime and oldest bourse, has served the DSE from September to December, 2008 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and since January 1 to February 28 of this year, he was the acting CEO.
