DSE down, CSE up at opening

The prices of most of the shares at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell while that of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose in the first 30 minutes of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week. The DSE benchmark index, DSEX, shed 9.61 points or 0.21 per cent to reach 4401.54 points at 11:20am. Of the issues traded till then, 74 gained, 89 declined and 45 remained unchanged. In the port city bourse, CSE’s key index, CSCX gained 1.22 points to stand at 8404.39, also at 11:20am. Of the issues traded till then, 25 gained, 49 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
