FE REPORT | Tuesday, 8 August 2023

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) formed a three-member committee to investigate the latest technical glitch in the prime bourse's server, which disrupted trading settlement of 63 stockbrokers on Sunday.
The committee led by its independent director Rubaba Dowla, will submit its report in 15 working days.
Professor Dr Hafiz Md Hasan Babu, chairman of the DSE, on Monday said they were looking for a permanent solution to technical difficulties.
"We have already formed a probe body over the issue. Alongside, we are also working on the IT disaster recovery to bring an end to such a problem."
The server of the DSE was hit by a technical glitch on Sunday, causing some 63 stockbrokers to take about 12 hours to settle share transactions after the end of the trading session.
The technical glitches have been resolved before the start of trading on Monday. After finding a problem Sunday night, a technical team worked and resolved the problems on Monday morning and the houses have successfully participated in trading activities, reads a DSE statement.
