DSE stumbles at opening

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main bourse, saw doward trend in the early hours of trading on Thursday, the fifth and last session of the week. DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, slipped, after two-hours of trading, to 4511.21723 points when the report was filed at 12:15pm. The DSE benchmark index stood at 4527.41860 points when trading closed on Wednesday. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, dipped to 1100.28452 points from the previous session’s 1100.28452 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also went down on Thursday morning. It fell to 1746.07825 points from Wednesday's 1741.39985 points.
