DSE up, CSE down at opening

Share prices at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), witnessed gain while that of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) showed downtrend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 6.14 points or 0.13 percent to reach 4500.17 points at 11:15 am. Of the issues traded till then, 109 gained, 92 declined and 45 remained unchanged. The CSE key index, CSCX lost 11.29 points to stand at 8824.68, also at 11:15 am today. Of the issues traded till then, 47 gained, 66 declined and 22 remained unchanged, according to UNB.
