DSE witnesses uptrend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main bourse, saw upward trend in the early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth session of the week. DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, advanced after one-hour’s trade to reach 4515.38689 points at 11:30am. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also advanced to stand at 1103.94342 points. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained to reach 1746.61522 points when the report was filed at 11:30. Among 253 issues traded till then, 115 advanced, 96 declined and 42 remained unchanged. The turnover value stood at Tk1.22 billion at that time. Tosrifa Industries topped the chart of the turnover leaders with a value of Tk129.81 million.
