DU, a2i sign MoU

Dhaka University (DU) signed Sunday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) at the latter's office in the city.
DU treasurer Professor Kamal Uddin and Director General (administration) of the PMO and a2i Project Director Kabir Bin Anwar signed the Mou on behalf of their respective sides, said a press release.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, UNDP Assistant Country Director to Bangladesh KAM Morshed and policy adviser to a2i project Anir Chowdhury were, among others, present at the signing ceremony.
Under the MoU, DU and a2i will jointly undertake and implement various research, training and evaluation programmes to find appropriate solution and determine strategies for ensuring services of different government ministries and departments to general people in effective and easiest ways.
Speaking on the occasion, the DU VC expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her office for making partnership with the important project which is significantly contributing to building digital Bangladesh.
