DU admission process begins

DU Correspondent Dhaka University (DU) authorities Thursday started its admission process undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2013-2014. The university's Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique formally launched the online admission process on Thursday noon. DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Nasreen Ahmad and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Shahid Akhtar Hossain and convener of the admission subcommittee Prof Hasibur Rashid were present on the occasion. Like the previous year, the university authorities will complete admission test process through online and eligible candidates have been asked to apply through admission website http://admission.eis.du.ac.bd/ by September 30, 2013. This year Tk 350 has been fixed as application fee including bank charge. Payment can be made at any branch of state-owned four banks-Agrani, Janata, Rupali and Sonali. All the update of the admission process will be communicated to the admission seekers through the given cell-phone numbers. Besides, general instructions regarding the admission process are available at the university's admission website and students also can take support from the helpline (02)-9669934, (02)-9661900 Ext. 4052, 4054 that are available round the clock. Admission subcommittee member Associate Prof Mamun-Or-Rashid told the FE that around 0.25 million students against 6500 seats applied last academic year 2012-2013.
