DU admission test faulty: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, in an unusually harsh outburst against Dhaka University authorities, dismissed on Sunday the university’s selection process as ‘faulty’. He even blamed the university authorities for ‘ruining the future’ of the students. His comments follow criticisms after only two students managed to secure entrance to the university’s English Department this year. ‘The evaluation process (of Dhaka University) was faulty, that’s why students failed. This is not our issue, it’s their matter,’ Nahid told a briefing at the Secretariat on Sunday, according to a news agency.
