DU Chhatra Dal gets partial new committee

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) announced a new committee of its student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal's Dhaka University (DU) unit on Friday.
Ganesh Chandra Roy Shahosh has been made president and Nahiduzzaman Shipon general secretary of the committee.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement in a press release.
The partial committee is comprised of seven members as its five other office-bearers are: Senior Vice President Masum Billah, Vice President Anisur Rahman Khandaker Anik, Senior Joint General Secretary Nasir Uddin Shawon, Joint General Secretary Shamim Akter Shuvo and Organising Secretary Nur Alam Bhuiyyan Emon.
According to the release, the existing committee of the DU unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, led by acting president ABM Ijazul Kabir Ruel and general secretary Ariful Islam, has been dissolved.
Shahos, a student of the International Relations Department of DU 2010-11 session, was the first joint general secretary of the former committee.
Besides, he is the president of the current committee of Jagannath Hall Chhatra Dal.
Shipon, a student of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) of Dhaka University (2011-12 session), was the joint general secretary of the former committee.
Earlier, the partial committee of DU Chhatra Dal with Khorshed Alam Sohel and Ariful Islam as president and general secretary respectively was announced on September 11, 2022.
About one and a half years later, the new partial committee of DU Chhatra Dal was approved.
